Starting again, one day at a time.
My road to The Pizza Cafe has not been easy. I worked in import and export, then in banking, before learning the restaurant business from the floor up as a pizza manager. In 2024, I took the leap into owning a pizza store.
Those years brought long days serving customers, managing a team and supplies, and trying to keep everything moving through equipment problems, difficult heat and financial pressure. In 2026, that store closed. It was a hard ending to something I had poured so much work into.
I carried the lessons forward. The Pizza Cafe, across from Langara College, is my chance to build again with care: good pizza, a welcoming place to pause, and chai to share. My family is part of why I keep going, even when the road is difficult.
